Would being inflated make you high?

Not literally of course.

While this site was offline, I passed the time speculating whether being inflated would make you high in the same way as drugs would. I was thinking in terms of adrenalin, endorphins, increase in carbon dioxide in the blood and nitrogen narcosis. It's probably wishful thinking of course but it's nice to imagine that's what would happen. Anyway, here's a blog entry to this effect.

Personally, I like to think that it depends on what is inflation in imaginary world.

As I like to imagine it - inflation is a natural defence, so if it's slow enough then your character will enjoy natural endorphins and will feel comfortable.

You won't feel "high" though - defence isn't procreation ^_^ your body won't produce natural opiumates as during orgasm.

But... if your character is inflation fetishist and his/her favourite size is modest enough then this lucky character can reach the peak during inflation. I guess... ^_^

Hmm, now that is a big read. Well done on your thesis, I'm sure that took a lot of work to put in.

Thinking about it, back when I was inflating anally with air, I wasn't sure if it was a feeling of "being high" or not. (it's worth noting inflating orally had no pleasurable effect on me, but that is just myself I am speaking about here.)

I think that referring to a high is a topic of debate: Are we speaking just feeling well from the general release of endorphins when acting on a sexual fetish, or are we talking about reality distortion or very strong moments of mania?

I personally think it's a type of high, but more along the sense of very strong and natural pleasure. Eating something you love, winning at the carnival, engaging in sexual activities, things like that. I wouldn't really consider it a drug high, as I've experienced that and it's on an entirely different level (I've used Nitrous Oxide before a few times, but nothing else). That being said it did have a sort of de-realization or numbness in my belly area, so perhaps that can be attributed to what you said earlier? It's been some time since I've done air, I'm mostly if not always water nowadays.

I know it's not strictly the topic in question here but I have a friend who knows I enjoy inflation, and she now teases me that she's swelling up every time she gets high. It's quite nice~

Brevity is not my strong point.

Lilyjade, that makes me think of the possibilities of inflating with psychoactive substances. Inhalation is not the only option and when something is a muscle relaxant too, well...and it's quite something to absorb it via lungs and other routes simultaneously.

I suppose the possibilities are:

You're already into it sexually and you enjoy it.
You discover that you're into it sexually when it happens.
Whether or not you have an actual fetish, it becomes erotic due to physical processes, e.g. like I imagine a vacuum pump on the penis would've been or erotic asphyxiation might be.
It's not erotic at all but you get a high like a drug high.
You get both.

And then there are the bad ones:

It's horrible for anyone who is not into it.
You just pass out or die early in the process.

and the very worst one of all is, you're into it sexually when it's a fantasy but when it happens, it turns out to be horrible. Wouldn't that be a bummer?

I don't believe the particles would be absorbed into the blood stream, but I'm not sure. I know that whatever air is absorbed is absorbed really slowly, so you might get it in such low doses you wouldn't get the effect.

There's so many things that make it either undesirable or straight up impossible. THC needs to be heated to become airborne, and it can only be properly absorbed through the lungs in this manner. Vaporizing/smoking would be uncomfortable and most likely even lethal if you want to use it for inflation purposes. Also the inflatee would have to be completely okay with being inflated, because getting high on cannabis can bring out some strong emotions and the last ones you'd want are anxiety and terror.

More realistic and definitely more entertaining would be someone getting high first and then either blissfully inflating themselves willingly (I would imagine the feeling of tightness and pressure would be a lot more present) or stuffing themselves with half a supermarket worth of food (because munchies).
