What makes a good expansion story?

Hey y'all!

I'm thinking of writing my first expansion story, but I wanna know, out of all of you out there, what makes a good expansion story?

Obviously we all have different likes and whatnot, so I'm not limiting it to anything! Just drop what really grabs you!

I don't see the need to write up a response as DoubleIntegral has already nailed it as far as I'm concerned.  Give these links a read:

Then if you have a lot of time left over, you can read my as yet incomplete story which sums up most of my thoughts on the subject:

I look forward to whatever you may write.  It's a pretty silly fetish, so don't be afraid to have fun with it.  The most important thing is to come up with a character you genuinely find interesting.  If you figure out their voice and motivations, then once you put them into an expansive situation you may find the story writes itself.

Very nice nickname! Personally, I think "OOOOH...BANGOOOOH...BANG's picture" is a very nice first inflation story. Will be waiting for your second one! ^_^

What grabs me?

For a story to while being an inflation one to still have plot (beginning middle and end/twist) which is why I feel crossing genres helps (mainly mild horror).

And character believability with a focus on their thoughts and feelings as they interact with their world.

I have a very specified list of preferences regarding the kink which helps me define what is a good story... for me which is not very useful when considering the wider audience so then it comes down to write what you want to read so that you can retain interest for yourself while writing.

And of course as the writer have some fun while doing it.

"And of course as the writer have some fun while doing it."

Since the OP is speaking of writing their own inflation story, I feel that the above is just about the most important quality (along with good grammar and proper writing structure).  Write the story YOU want to read.  If reading your own work turns you on, you're doing it right.

I prefer a story that features a character inflating. Not some inflating bimbo, but a real person with a backstory. Someone with flaws, preferrably not knowing when to stop. ;)

Other than that, just put in detail. Expand (badumtss) your vocabulary on synonyms to "big" or "inflated" and you'll be all right in my book!

I think I've had too much...

Someone that has learned basic rules of grammar and writing structure is WAAAAAY ahead of the pack.  And superheroes :)
