#popping #fantasy | What tells you popping is about to happen?

warning: related to the fine art of bursting ^_^ so read at your own risk

A question to those of us who like popping - what tells you it's about to happen?

If we stick to the more ""basic"" stuff, it can be a redness around the navel area, a few veins popping out here and there, and if we're talking about sound effects, creaking and whatnot. If we kick it up a notch, air leaking from unorthodox openings (let's say, navel, nipples, nose, ears, etc.) and appearing like some steam kettle. If we wanna get even more dramatic, let's add something like a tremor in the earth which only gets more intense the closer our swelling man is from exploding.

And then we could totally go for the extreme, make an explosive comparison and the man's body crackle with light someplaces as he's extremely close from detonating like a bomb. Generally the level of drama of an explosion depends on the context. If it's just quiet intimacy, I'll stick to the most basic fundamentals. If it's something more intense, raising the buildup level is never too bad of an idea.

Generally the explosion by itself is Michael Bay-worthy, but it's more on the domain of special effects as nothing material gets really destroyed. And the guy reforms because dying isn't fun, of course.

My belly button pops up, or I'm a big round immobile sphere ready to POP, and I know it because the pressure is intensive

For me, I know right at the last moment. Too full to get any bigger, then the feeling of pushing out from the preassure as my body fails. Getting a bit bigger quickly before exploding.

Ahhh. My favorite subject.

General inflation: creaking skin, the skin feels tight and hard. An personal reaction of a inflatee

Belly or fullbody inflation: hard stomach sounds, out popping bellybutton.

Blueberry inflation: leaking juice out of nipples or vaginal area.

Breast inflation: leaking nipple

And boom goes the inflatee

We've been lacking in good popping topics recently, This makes up for that greatly.

For me, I'm a sucker for the usual hallmarks. The creaking, The belly turning redder as it gets bigger, And of course the inflation steadily slowing down and getting tighter instead of bigger.

The slowing of expansion, the colour turning pinky and getting darker, the shape firming up, getting rounder and pulling up and veins surfacing. Skin around the inflating area being pulled tight.

Lots of creaking and groaning sounds, maybe one more moan for good measure. The moan fading out just before the boom is also a nice touch.

This is a fun one.

As others have noted, ominous sounding creaks, groans, or rumblings usually herald a kaboom.

Reddening of the skin, prominent veins, and stretch marks* are also indications that one might want to take cover.

In a few of my stories, the inflatee will close his/her eyes right before popping.

*Some time back I was playing around with the Search function trying to determine which words or phrases most often indicated a story would end explosively. Near as as I can tell, "stretch marks" is the most ominous phrase in inflation fiction.

When your ears start to pop from the pressure and your cheeks are straining themselves because gas is trying to escape from anywhere, then you're about to burst--perferably with special effects worthy of a Lucas/Speilberg movie.

Creaking, redness, various kinds of leaks are my usual indicators. I also like to make the popping a full body orgasm, so the victim, or "victim" at times, is usually about to cum at the same time they blow. ;)

I love it best when it's somewhat sudden: like, the form of inflatee changes a bit (curves are smoothed; if spherical already, then sides spread out more) and/or not-too-loud creaking sounds, while everything around is dead silent. The calm before the storm.
