Maybe this ideas been thrown out their but anyway, we all know that blood pressure cuffs used by doctors have a pretty nice pressure feeling to them. My curiosity has lead me to wonder if something like that could be made for a full body suit. The point of this design in suit, I was thinking is discreet public inflation. Many other suits get massive in size, I get the urge to inflate while around friends and such and don't want the huge sizes, only the pressure feeling. If someone has suggestions, I'd love hearing them. I take an engineering class and this struck me as an irresistible idea.
Blood pressure cuff inflation suit
Now I know this could really be a good though more advanced idea, but i imagine with the right system, you could simply cause the inflation by the pressing of a button, likely a good place would be under the cuff of one arm. You are right the whole body would be difficult as it would require quite a bit of air. I don't know, I like discussing the possiblities and constraints. I might seriously pursue creating it and since i want it ton for myself. It would be a dream. lol

it would seem that this website explains a lot about te materials needed. With the right design in mind, i think this could a pretty viable suit for the purposes that I described.
This idea sounds both highly impractical and also very uncomfortable.
worth a try. haha
I would also like to know if a cotton filled suit exists too. I love the feeling of being wrapped in softness like a really thick comforter but I don't know of anything like that. lol, I've got a thing for wanted this type of stuff outside the house. So I can always feel inflated an soft.❤️
As a physiology major but also a massive cynic, I would say: Go for it. Then once you recuperate/resuscitate, let us know how your idea went.
Here. Get one in 45 weight and it won't inflate much, but give you all the pressure you want. http://cocoon1.com/ps2.html
I've put a wetsuit over my inflatable catsuit. The pressure sensation is increased, considering the latex is only .4mm thick. However it still appreciably grows in size. Nylon on the other hand does not flex much. SUPskins and other SUP drysuits tend to be slim fitting, but aren't that cheap plus they may have some flex considering what their intended market it. This would lead to easy, but expensive route.
Another route is to either make am "inflexible" outshell with a basic inflatable catsuit underneath (bought or made) or to make it double layered to start with so no inflatable latex catsuit is necessary. I've researched into make an inflatable (double layered) drysuit that inspired by the SISSTEMair and submarine escape suits. The journey lead me to http://www.seattlefabrics.com/nylons.html and someone that made their own drysuit out of goretex. One of the intriguing materials I've foudn is a "heat sealable" waterproof (and hopefully air?) nylon. Heatsealing sounds easier than sewing, gluing, taping, testing & marking, re-gluing, re-taping, etc. . My concerns for this approach would be abrasion resistance (to itself and to other what ever it'll be touching) and leak finding & repair ( i'm thinking a small drysuit zipper to access inside). If the quilting affect can be replicated, it'll make the suit easier to get in (looser) and require less air to reach the desired of level pressure.
As a far as "cotton filled suit", the closest I've seen is a 'down filled suit'. Although not cotton, it might be along the lines of what you are also looking for.
Hi. This is not only possible but used in certain military applications, such as for flight. One of my friends got to use a suit that inflates with pressure so that G forces from jet flight don't cause the blood to pool and keeps the body pressurized. He says it can get so strong you can't breathe in it.
Alternatively, there are heavy latex suits sold from companies such as MDLatex that sell 2.0mm thickness or higher (my suit is 0.4 mm), and those are built for a very heavy pressure sensation. They can look big, or they can be compact and discreet, though it still is quite thick and heavy.
A double-walled inflation suit is a novel idea. You could have more control over the final body shape than you would with a single-layer blueberry-style or zentai suit. You know, separate compartments for different body parts. Inflating the thing with an insufflator bulb might not be that discrete though. If it's a full-body suit, it would take some doing to get a decent amount of pressure going.
Do pressure-activated leak valves for air bladders exist? I imagine that would be a good way to prevent overpressure from sitting down or other random impacts while wearing the suit.
