Having an (unfortunate) idea about what's going on, all I can say is you do you. I can't promise the results would be as intense as you might hope, but go for it.

In the series that scene corresponds to inflated body by gases for food, and since it would be exaggerated to try something like this, my idea would be to try to achieve something similar but using inflatable costumes
