Thanks for the advice, Magz. ;3
Description seems to be my weak point. I felt like my writing is mostly mundane and repetitive.
Hey guys, recently been feeling the urge to write and looking for some general tips.
I'm interested in writing fiction, both about inflation-related and non-inflation related, but I've embarrassingly never wrote anything beyond a few scribbled down paragraphs and endless outlines.
I don't mind what kinda tips you wanna pass on, whether it's specific writing styles, how to overcome writer's block and other dilemmas, do's and don'ts, inflation stuff, non-inflation stuff... I'd appreciate any help basically.
I have a few ideas in my head right now for both inflation and non-inflation stiff (ask if you're interested), and I'm hoping to put my inflation stories up on here.
Thanks for the advice, Magz. ;3

This doesn't have to particularly do with inflation, but:
Make sure you format your story well. Readability is actually pretty important; people can't be turned on by something where the words are all blending together and making it difficult to read.
Proofread your story, or have it proofread. Consider getting a trusted friend to go over your story and have them suggest spelling corrections as needed.
Thanks!
Yus, definitely. I reread my stuff quite often but a proofreader is good as well, though I haven't shown my creative writings to many people. Kinda shy about it.
I won't be showing any of my inflation stories to real friends or family though, that's for sure. xD
I concur with all of this. Lots of new writers vastly underestimate how important readability is. Getting a proofreader is also far superior to proofreading your own work. I'm a bit of a hypocrite on this one. But that's why I'm still finding mistakes in stories I wrote twenty years ago.
Write what you love. If other people like it, cool. Whatever your inflation kink is, there are probably people here who share it and wish more people would write stories about it.
You don't have to finish one story before starting another. I have a huge backlog of story fragments. I work on whichever one inspires me the most on a given day.
You don't have to write a story in order. There's nothing wrong with structuring your story around an ending you think is awesome.
Thanks! I'll do just that. ^.^
Inflate123's Advice For Writers is always good advice.
That'll make for good reading, thanks for the link!
Im sure we had a thread on this very thing.
I am by no means an author, I am but a humble daikaiju fangirl, But I feel like I should sorta just swooce by and drop this here hiddly hint for ya:
When it comes to inflation scenes, Detail tends to help loads. Like, Not too much detail (i wanna say dictionary levels of detail is too much?), But enough to extend the sequence while also keeping it interesting.
I also find that being absurdly high and just kinda writing whatever comes to mind (much like what i am doing right now) helps a crapton, Lemme just say
