Your mileage may vary when it comes to inflation as horror. Keep in mind that, for people outside of this fetish, most inflation stories are horror stories. Even people within the inflation community have referred to a number of my stories as such; take that as you will.
What I find interesting about this is that it plays out like a rather poorly written inflation story. Nurse installs a drain tube in a patient, but instead of hooking it up to the suction port she mistakenly connects it to the oxygen supply. Patient inflates and everybody panics, but nobody thinks to check the tube. I'll have to recalibrate my evaluations of characters that do stupid things in inflation stories. I'd previously considered incompetence on such a scale to be implausible, but it seems that this sort of thing really can happen.

Yeah this. Fictional inflation horror is a okay and I love that sort of stuff personally too. But normalizing the fetishization of real life medical emergencies is skeevy beyond belief.
