Writing for Audio

One of the things that's fascinating about various forms of media, is the different methods of using information. Film, Literature, Audio, Art- all use different methods to tell their stories.

That's gotten me pondering inflation audio. I've listened to some stuff over the years, but not that many. And it's a similar but different method of erotic content than even the dialogue dominant teases in other clips and videos. It's not the same as writing a story either, though an audio-book style telling of an inflation story is a viable method of making such audio. So far in my experience, recording an audio-fetish tease is sort of recreating the things one would say either about to experience, or are experiencing, the described event.

And naturally, things like sound effects, stretching and rubbery sounds, sloshing, etc- I'm assuming are nice little additions.

So, I'm wondering. What are peoples' thoughts, desires, and methods- for writing scripts for spoken content? When writing without pictures, without dialogue exchanges, and even without scene setting?

I guess the method I've been using is to initially relax and let the raw dialogue form itself. Most audio has only a single actress so she has to convey everything herself with regard to the event. It's worth speaking the script a few times to get an idea of speaking difficulty and possibly running it at least once through a speach to sound program.

*Nods nods* All the audio I've recorded so far has been improvised. And I guess that makes for a good "first draft" so to speak.

Stream of consciousness, then edit and edit and edit.

If you want some samples Of audiobooks, I highly highly recommend that you check out my YouTube channel and maybe we could have some voice actresses act out some of your stories. I have even added sound effects to some of the more recent stories and comic dubs we have done. We’ve even worked on a few scripts!

I think spoken content works best from the first-person perspective.  A lot of the stuff I've heard up to this point (from the various people who have done this throughout the years) is readings of third-person stories, and it's all been kinda meh to me.  But hearing a female narrator telling a story about her inflating is pretty hot.

*Nods nods* That's what I've been doing so far.

Now, that's an interesting word choice. Does it sound more enticing to "tell a story" as in something that's already happened? Rather than a hypothetical or about to happen?

That was something that some people wanted us to do for a while. We wanted more first person stories and we’re hoping to do some of that soon. If you have any recommendations you can let us know and yes Alovera, I think having a story told in present tense makes it a bit more enticing but that’s just me.

I've found that listening to inflation stories through audio is a completely new expierence and I have been loving it. I agree, telling the story from a first person view is really quite necessary for it to really work well. That said, I've always wondered if hearing a voice actress reading one of my stories would ruin it o make it better, just because my stories matter a lot to me.

Interesting take on the last sentence.  I never even thought of that, but yeah, I would want to make absolutely sure that anything I wrote would be treated with care.

That's an interesting thought, cause creative direction is a major part of the process. And an audio version is an adaptation- it's giving tones that you might not have given thought to. Or might not be able to fill with the tones and intonations you had in mind. Changing the final product in a subtle, but prominent to the creator's way.
