I've always been interested in the unfortunate -- and somewhat cartoonish -- consequences of having a "bad case of gas" in an airtight suit. One example of this is the inflation scene in the movie Rocketman. Here is a comic based on the same concept.
There's something inherently funny about this kind of inflation.
Thoughts?
As a fan of (air)tight clothes and "gas", I'm definitely a fan of this idea. I had a story concept once about a scuba diver in Cancun who ate a bad burrito, and ended up blowing up her wetsuit and floating away (in air, not water). The suit leaked just enough gas not to pop, but not enough to deflate, and every time she reached the ground she'd try to find some way to puncture it before inevitably lifting off again. I couldn't think of enough events to flesh it out though, so I never ended up writing it.
Thanks for linking that comic!
