I previewed how a story I was in the process of uploading would look and it seems like there were problems with the style around the top and bottom of the body: https://prnt.sc/wjwo9x
The gobbledygook would disappear whenever I went back a page, and the editor started adding extra paragraphs I'd have to erase each time. I was pasting from Microsoft Word so I assume that's where it's getting all those formatting specs. This is a Windows 10 running the latest Firefox.
For a solution... I tried pasting with Ctrl+Shift+V and added all the formatting manually. Not a huge deal by any means, but wanted to make things aware!
It's most likely Microsoft Word's fault. Its HTML is pretty terrible. It always causes problems, but it's possible that the problems with the new editor are different from the problems with the old editor. I always wind up cleaning up submissions that come from Word.
Personally, I'm a fan of this HTML Cleaner.
