Finding clothes to stuff (and what to stuff them with)

Hi all,

Been living on my own for a while and thinking about putting my privacy to good use. I'd want to stuff clothes again, but I don't have any clothes big enough to do the job (without totally ruining them for normal wear, ofc). I've searched the web for shirts and found plenty of results. Before I pull the trigger, I wonder what you all recommend.

How big of a shirt is "big enough"? Just go with the biggest thing I can find? And what do you stuff with? I love the weight and volume of blankets, but I'm open to new ideas. And do you have any tips and tricks coming from experience? Thanks ^^

There's no such thing as too big. What I've done is purchased sweatshirts or football jerseys and installed a drawstring at the bottom so that the padding or inflation equipment (e.g. beach ball) doesn't fall out.

I use generic Hanes-style Tshirts in XXXL, the kind you get in Walmart in packs of 6-8 for the clothing.  Simple, cheap, and easy to find.  Would like to branch out into things like Kigurumi bodysuits, but those are NOT cheap lol

For inflation toys, Super Wubble Bubble Balls, allllll the way.  IMO, they're better than basically everything else in the "beachball and balloon" category of clothes-stuffing toys... If you decide to go with them though, only use the "Super Wubble" line or any that advertise being "made of Xpandium!" (Yes... They really did call it that XD). They're more durable.

The super wubble ball looks like a great idea!

We use nightgowns and jumpsuits. Nightgowns that are ankle length work great and allow for nearly round inflation. Jumpsuits are good because they contain everything so you can stuff them a lot. Old Navy has a jumpsuit in stock right now that stretches really well. Under I use a large balloon. Amazon has a balloon that is 8 feet in diameter. Works really well under any clothes because it fills in the space before becoming completely round.

I'm a big fan of the spandex bodysuit with combinations of pillows and wubbles.

Amusingly living on my own was what made me rediscover this interest. For me it's a very private thing and I like being able to go somewhere quiet where I can explore it without fear of interruption :)

I personally don't go for big/loose clothes; I like using morphsuits which you can get dead-cheap from costume stores and then I use a weather balloon to push it to it's limit. If I were to look for something bigger, I'd probably look more towards those inflatable-style costumes (for example, a sumo) but rather than inflate it with the built-in fan, I'd fill it with whatever tickled my fancy at the time. Though the issue with those is that they generally don't have any give, so once you pused it to it's limit the seams just go. Generally I look for onepiece stretchy clothing (so I mainly look for lycra or spandex in the materials) and balloons.

I'm not a fan of stuffing things because of the added weight (sounds silly but I have a dodgy back so I have to be careful not to overdo stuff) though one time for a joke, I decided I wanted to get rid of an old weather balloon, so I climbed in the bath tub and hooked it up to the tap and proceeded to fill it up with water, whilst in a morphsuit (my idea was although they can expand quite a bit, they're not designed to contain the weight water would add, so it'd probably give way quite quickly - I was very wrong). I managed to have my body suspended a full 3-4 inches off the bottom before I had to stop because I basically couldn't move, then it took at least 20 minutes to drain it enough to regain mobility again :D

You can't go wrong with ordering the biggest size of what ever you choose to use.

Spandex leggings are going to stretch more than the ones made from cotton.  By virtue of beeing slightly thinner to start with, tights will stretch more than leggings, and pantyhose will strtch more than tights.

Pillows and blankets are good, stuffed animals are also a lot of fun. When I was little I used to like to pretend I was a snake, and gobble up my stuffies, and put them in my tights and pull my top over them. Or sometimes I would pretend to be a mommy kangaroo and my tights weere my pouch for my baby.  I know, I ain't right in the head.

Anyway, puching balloons can also be a lot of fun.

I prefer oversized clothing myself and using pvc inflatables because they create a lot more pressure than that of latex. Not a big fan of stuffing though, half the fun is feeling the pressure mount, the clothing stretch, and watching yourself grow bigger :) Spandex and morphsuits are nice, but unfortunately, I can never seem to find a manufacturer that makes one in a big enough size for my tastes.
