Thoughts on the possible remake idea. I'd think modern Augustus would be a makbung obsessed girl.
Violet would be a egoistical Twink or a Gay Jock Boy.
Veruca would be a girly girl into other girls.
Charlie would be bi and Mike would be MTF. Wonka himself I'm thinking would be FTM.
Probably would be around late HS or College.

Oooh gas inflation. I've always had the fantasy of a fart bro eating special beans in the factory which makes him start farting uncontrollably. Eventually, he produces gas quicker than he can fart it out and it shuts off his butt hole. He starts turning brown and inflating even faster until he has turned into a fart. A rotten, stinking, fart. No original thoughts in his head anymore. He is just a giant fart. And his guy friends all laugh at him, roll him around, poke at him and take pictures to show all the girls he ever liked.
The Oompa Loompas may be able to pump all the gas out of him (and save it to heat the factory), but he will always be turd brown, and stink like shit.
May I point a TV series is better suited for showing so many marital relationships. This way there will be screen time for each pair/trio/... in all combinations
Yeah I think the whole thing would be a good reinterpretation. And also ngl I'd love just see a Brat Gay Boy version of Violet. Chewing the gum and helplessly blowing up into a blueberry. His just desserts. And definitely I'd think they'd mention Exploding for him as he's being rolled away.
Huh, definitely an interesting take. I think college level would be better (the characters could be more developed). I'm a little ashamed to admit I'm not familiar with a lot of the LGBTQ+ terms/acronyms you used. For that I apologize.
I always thought it would be fun to change most if not all of the punishments in the factory to inflation variations of some sort. The Chocolate River could result in massive weight gain, Fizzy Lifting Drinks could cause inadvertent air/gas inflation, the Three Course gum leads to...well...blueberry inflation, of course.
Just a thought.
