The way I helped a friend play the game was to install a Virtual Machine on her computer. We installed Windows XP Plus on the Virtual Machine & got the game running that way. It should still be viable that way.

How do I do that? I definitely would like a step-by-step process and the website link for the Windows XP of the Virtual Machine.

So, the first step is to install a virtual machine. We used VirtualBox and Oracle still maintains it."

Next step is to get a copy of Windows XP. Since it is pretty much abandoned, you can either get a copy on the Internet Archive or if you are worried about that, you can get a copy on eBay.

Third Step is installing the OS in the Virtual Machine. It should be under the File Menu on VirtualBox, excuse me for not remembering after all these years. It'll ask how much drive space you want to allocate to the Machine's virtual drive, but once that is done, you can run the OS within the Virtual Machine. The OS is within a Sandbox and depending on how you configure it, it may or may not have internet access. I'd advise not giving an old OS access to the internet, that is asking for trouble.

You can copy & paste files between your computer & the virtual machine, that is how you will get the Air Escape game onto the Virtual Machine without granting it Internet Access.
