DIY inflation suit

I seem to remember back in the day there being a tutorial out there on how to make your own inflatable suit out of trashbags. I think it was on Inflate123's old site but I'm not 100% sure.

Anyway, does anyone know where to find that, or have any of their own methods on how to make a cheap, simple inflation suit, MacGyver style?

Thanks in advance guys.

I just use an XXL zentai and a huge weather balloon. Does the job pretty well and for around $50. :)

Sorry, this info was not on my site that I'm aware of. Might it have been Wren Spot?

Lay the open ends of two trash bags over each other, as in diagram 1. Cut along dotted line for both bags.

Peel back top layer of plastic and tuck one bag a little into the other so that they overlap maybe a centimeter. Run a strip of duct tape to seal the seam. Drop the top layers back into place and duct tape them, too. Run a short piece of tape over the "crotch" of the seam.

You now have a construct like a pair of baggy pants made out of plastic. Make another one.

Now lay the two sub-assemblies over each other and cut along the next dotted line, as in diagram 2. Tape up the seams.

Climb into baggy coveralls. Stuff cross-shaped, inflatable "suit" down arms and legs. There should be lots of extra material to wrap around torso and extremities.

Cut off a small corner at one wrist or ankle sufficient to insert a Shop-Vac hose. Tape up or hold the joint by hand. With Shop-Vac set to reverse (hose connected to exhaust port), start blowing up. Caution: a Shop-Vac will blow you up very quickly.

Tip: Got a sewing machine handy? Prepare the baggy coveralls ahead of time by running a number of "darts" down the body. Sew these pleats with long stitches so that they are not too strong. With the extra material "accordioned" inside the suit, the coveralls will look smoother and fitted. Under inflation, the seams will strain, then pop open with a nice sound effect. The inflatee will expand like the Violet costume seen in the 1971 WONKA film.

I've made a topic on here about how I do it. What I do is I take a large industrial size bag. Put your legs i n the bag and stand in the bag holding it up with your hands. Then take the hose from a vacuum or air pump and put that in the bag while still holding it and standing. Then get a belt(one of those ones where you can pretty much tighten all the way you want without those little holes) and put the belt on around the top of the bag with the hose still in but make sure it's really tight. Then just turn on the air pump and go to town haha.

Thanks Blankslate, I finally got around to making the "suit" today and it works great. I appreciate it.
