Is the world running out of helium?

An educational video of sorts for the masses, but something that inflationists could find interesting since it's all about the go-to floating gas. I didn't realize it's becoming scarce enough (at least stuff that's readily available) that even party balloon prices have risen.

Feels as though it sparks alternate universes with helium shortages, helium conservation movements, raiding underground helium reservoirs...

If we do run out of helium over the course of 100-150 years, what should we call it - a post-apocablimpse scenario? I dunno.

(P.S. - I'd suggest you switch on captions if you want to better process all the sciencey talk)

This has been known for some time.  I even wrote a story - http://www.bodyinflation.org/node/4440 - in 2006 that makes reference to helium rations.

It is, but one of the modes of radioactive decay generates new helium, and there's plenty of helium in space and in the gas giants.
