"Oh no." Sandy fretted, going between looking nervously over the edge of the boat at the water, and looking just as nervously at the water slowly filling the selfsame boat. "Ohhhhh no."

"Sandy!" Devin shouted.  He and Amelia were the first to bail out, and both were looking up at Sandy as she paced the deck. "You need to jump!"

"I can't swim!" Sandy wailed.

"It isn't that deep, you'll be fine!"

"I'll drown!"

"It really isn't that deep," Amelia added. "Devin is standing on the bottom, and it's only up to his shoulders."

Daren was wealthy.

Very wealthy. 

And he was also curious. So, he put out an ad, saying that if people would allow him to perform experiments on them, he would give them a hefty allowance for the rest of their life, an allowance so large that they need not ever work again. 

Three people were foolish enough to reply to the add.

Chris, Hamlet, and John were their names. Chris seemes rather proud of himself. Hamlet looked cautious about the ordeal but hopeful that he may earn some money. John was visibly nervous and rather short for his age.

Elroy had waited in the hall outside his college footballs locker room. If anyone saw Elroy, they’d figure he was just there for his job or to peeve on the hunky jocks. While he found some players attractive, Elroy was lurking about for his job. He was a reporter for his college newspaper and while he knew his story, had little support. He knew it needed to be told. His college football team, who had been average at best, was suddenly unbeatable. Most thought it was just thanks to some new training their coach was giving them. However, Elroy was certain something else was afoot.

At first the property owner, understandably, misunderstood. After all, when people made a sweeping gesture and said "I'd like to buy this," they meant one of the dining rooms at Vivian's Surf and Turf. When he was informed that this was not the case by the eccentric young man to which he was speaking, he then assumed that the young man meant the entire restaurant; that he wanted to rent it for a party he was having. This, too, was not the case, and he soon clarified his intentions.
