I have to warn ya, Igabito took his place off because of stuff like this, people posting his works elsewhere, and also, someone at dimensions posted it as their own (or modified it rudely, like snugging a hose in unmentionables places), he asked for they to be shaken down as it didn't pleased him, and it went the way of a flame war. Result: Igabito took his site off and made an IP filter of some sort, now it's japanese only (im' not sure about this last part, he never replyed any e-mails anymore).

Also, it's important to note that Igabito wasn't the first to do what he did, and won't be the last. Many incredible artists did the same, because of similar reasoms. Papan, Ryumage, IssenSoi and Octupus are never to be seen again. This kind of stuff is among the reasoms that made me defect from the battlefield also and take down my stuff, i've had my works posted elsewhere without being asked for permission, given credit and sometimes even posing as the author (some were even traced/copied, i despise these evildoers with all my might, but they shall remain nameless by me; if yer interested, just seek the WG or Inf community in DeviantArt, a keen eye is all you need)

To those who will say that then artists should not post their stuff if they are afraid that it will be stolen, you can kiss my foot. :D

Yeah. Most people dosen't seen to respect artists anymore. I don't blame any of these artists that decided to give up. Like you said "artists should not post their stuff if they are afraid that it will be stolen", and they are just starting to do it.

Unfortunately it's what comes with the territory when an internet community becomes as big as ours. There a always a small disrespectful group of flamers and graspers, harrassing the small group of people who do contribute.

Another common thing where artists have been shown a lack of respect is where they have been taken for granted and had things demanded from them, as though they have a duty to keep the hungry masses fed.

Fortunatelty nothing like this has happened to me, I'm only a small time artist with a small friendly following, but it happened to CattyN to name one.

Most people are great though, it's just the minority who have to realise that artists don't exist purely to satisfy their own personal take on our fetish.
