I'm a fairly large anime nut but there are also some live action sentai shows that aren't bad either. Usually there's a monster du jour but today I had to laugh at this one from a fansubbed RyuKenDou: Balloon Demon Beast, BalloonGunner!

Giant red balloon with one giant eye trailing a string with a lot of little balloons sticking underneith it. First encounter with the public is with two whacky, gunhappy police women who try to pop it with some unregulation looking guns (Since guns aren't very legal in Japan!). Bullets bounce off and the Balloon Demon shoots a green beam back. The ladies are confused as nothing happens--then inflate into big, floating human balloons! (Still wearing their uniforms but that's magic for you...)

Of course, the heroes have to pop the sucker. Hehe.

I managed to get it, and it's not bad. The effects obviously aren't incredible (beginning with closeups of their clothes swelling and buttons bursting, which is nice) and then their bodies being replaced by CGI/morph creations. At that point it doesn't seem quite as good...

But still, this is very cool. It was only a matter of time before shows like this had such a villain XD

It was a great clip.
Not just the loads of people being fully inflated, but I'm a big fan of Sentai shows in general.
I do think it would have be interesting to see more of it nonCGI'ed but it was still fun seeing the sky littered with balloon people.

I took a look at it and for someone who is mostly weaned on inflation drawings, it's really a rare treat to see live-action inflation. I'm surprised to see that the inflatees were enjoying, but that nasty bad guy ruined their fun. *boo*

I'm actually thinking more of that Kidou Shinsengumi scene Fukureruba. Another situation where a whole town/city gets its inhabitants inflated.

Natsumi and Miyuki getting inflated definately is a good idea, but these two gals worked as well. :)

If anyone wants I can get the episode hosted somewhere so everyone can download it. I'll try not to get the files split up like I did with the Kidou Shinsengumi file so everyone can see the fun in motion. Okay, here's what's gonna happen...

Since there are multiple scenes of the policewomen inflating, I'll need to actually splice the scenes together to make some form of montage. I can't promise audio if I have to clip multiple parts of the show, but I'll see what can be done. I'll probably have time to clip it over the weekend and put it on PutFile or RapidShare or something.

a torrent is a "ticket". downloading the torrent gives you access to the actual file, but you have to download it using a torrent client.

So, instead of begging for other people to make it more available to you than it already is, how about taking a few moments, a few clicks, and downloading a torrent client and getting it yourself?

well... i don't know about anyone else here but BitTorrent doesn't work on my computer. I tried it way back when this site started using it and it crashed every time. For some people using Torrent isn't an option, so I for one welcome someone else stepping in and trying to make the clip more accessable to people who can't view it (like myself).

Yes, I agree with Cattyn. My computer is also incaptible of using Torrent. I've triedd it many times in the past and it always resulted in failure. In so, heres hoping that Max can work something with this whole mess and everyone can view it.

In my experience MPG and QTV files seem to be the best bet in internet formats. AVI is good but not everyone can play the new DIVX Codecs. WMV is also very good, but if you got a mac that might be a problem ^_^;

Kudos for finding and posting this awsome clip. I don't mind the CGI effects :-p

Yare yare...just glad that people can see it. Those with Macs can see the WMV files they just gotta get a codec I believe with a movie player that works on a Mac. Not sure. I have to research on that.

WMVs can be played in QuickTime (with the associated QuickTime features that WiMP doesn't have, like pause, step, etc.) with the WMV Player plugin. http://www.flip4mac.com/

The best playback for DiVX on Mac is VLC (videolan.org) or MPlayer (http://mplayerhq.hu/).
