I read on Wikipedia that the actress took the role with no knowledge of her part at all, because she liked Lost, and that she would've never taken the role had she known about her part.
I think that adds a little realism to the film, that she'd actually be upset at the thought of playing a woman who explodes.
I think that's kind of funny in a weird way. Women have no problem playing characters that get mangled, raped, tortured, whatever; but they find out they're gonna get blown up, and they get all pissy about it.
oh, and I just checked imdb to get some pics of the actress; and I found a link to the character's myspace. I found it kind of interesting that in the "about me" it says this:
"I just quit smoking, so I've taken to biting my nails and chewing an exorbitant amount of gum. "
Do I smell a Violet reference or am I reading too much into this?
Exactly.
Some sort of slower-acting agent would have been amazing for us, but the brutal nature of this scene actually does a lot for the shocking atmosphere of the film. But what it comes down to is it *all* happens behind a curtain, and if you blink, you'll miss it.
Sorry. ;.;
Ahahaha.
We're the enforcers; the sorcerer's orphans, and we know why we fight!
