Many of us have a favored story/movie scene/piece of art that first gave us the inkling that we were inflation or expansion fans. In most cases it was something viewed when younger and then lost to the mists of time, often not holding up to the memory when found again years or decades later.
This is mine.
In the movie "Merry Andrew" Danny Kaye plays a ringmaster stand in at a circus who ends up wearing a naval life vest to pad out his outfit, since it was made for someone larger. During the show the vest goes crazy, blowing up, setting off flares, and raising an emergency radio antenna. Finally it fills enough to float him up to the ceiling, whereupon a stogie smoking midget shoots him down.
What? It makes perfect sense! :)

And yes, I used this as a basis for my "Clowning Around" story, which can be found here.

It's funny the things that set us on our way in life, isn't it. I'm probably the only clown ringmaster/mistress inflation fetish fan out there!Oh sure, I'm more of a hypervoluptuous overinflation fan these days, but Merry Andrew got me into the game back when I was little. Just thought I'd share my insanity a bit. :)
Agreed.
