Call me stupid, ignorant or whatever, but why do all my emails that i try and send get stuck in my outbox, ive got emails still there from a few months ago that will not "send"

ah ok. makes sense now cheers mate. gonna be embarrassing when my friends check their mail then to find several emails from me lol
You're not doing anything wrong. The messages have been sent. Messages in the Outbox have been sent, but have not yet been read by the recipient. Once they're read, they get moved to the Sent box.
