Hello all! I've just been rolling a thought around my head and wanted to know what you all thought of it.
Although there are plenty of inflation clips out there from various sources, I have yet to see (or hear of) a feature length (120 minutes +) inflation movie. I think it could work because the length opens the door to almost any kind of inflation all in the same movie.
I realize the execution of this would be quite an undertaking but if any of you do like making movies then maybe you could run with it.
Anyway, thanks for listening ^^
Mood Boobs is more than a clip, yet less than a feature, and is thematically centered around inflation.
I also recall a Blue Falcon and Dynomutt episode from my childhood that featured a villain with a signal that could be broadcast by radio to inflate the populace into immobility.
There is an episode of the Japanese series Madan Senki Ryukendo posted on-line with (again) an inflation villain threatening to pop his victims.
I'm sure there are more examples. So inflation does appear as a running topic in some productions, rather than as a momentary gag. A feature-length production, however, sounds too much like an x-rated movie where the flimsiest of plot turns is used as an excuse for more titillation.
You can't red-line an engine continuously without burning it out. Even Macbeth needed a gatekeeper scene. In the movie Eddie and the Cruisers there is a scene where Eddie asks the resident egghead to define caesura, a dramatic pause in poetry. From my own experience, I recall a band member telling a new drummer -- who tended to play too fast and too hard -- that one could be just as artistic not hitting the drums as hitting them.
It's yin yang. There can't be pressure without some vacuum.
