Never tried one, but I would love to try one someday. I'm far more willing to try one of those than to try to stick a hose up my butt. I'm always in the back of my mind trying to come up with ways to make one. I'd never be able to afford a specialty one, nor would I be comfortable enough with it to have it laying around. But the thought of it fascinates me, for sure.
How do you feel about inflatable suits?
Heh, I feel the exact same way.
Love to try. But would feel too awkward to own.
When it comes to inflation, suit inflation is my favorite along with body inflation. My mind go warped ever since I saw 'Magma Diver' and It'll never be the same again. :D
Considering I've 'built' a few home kludged together inflatable suits, I guess I'd kinda have to like them, yes. :) Originally I was one of the big proponents in the community for blow up outfits, due to that whole "hose goes where?!?" syndrome mentioned earlier.
Sievert: most excellent. I don't suppose you'd be willing to share any tips on "kludging together" a homemade suit??
I had one of the pro ones for a time--a brief time. I had a Cocoon suit made to measure, and I was pretty disappointed in it because I found I could not feel any pressure. I wound up springing a leak as I was trying to put clothes on over the suit to increase the pressure (stupidly I nicked it with a zipper) and sent it to someone in the community for a repair. After I didn't hear back from him, that person gave me a long story about a sick child, a hurricane, and an insurance payment that never came--which means, of course, that he stole it. I have never gotten the suit back nor have I gotten the payment he promised me, so I have never been able to justify buying another suit...and this happened about eight years ago.
Ouch. Pardon me for pointing out the obvious but, Damn that really sucks. Sorry to hear that. Let's hope his kid grows up to hate him, that he gets audited and shortly thereafter, hit by a Tornado.

Ouch! That's not nice to hear. And there still are the pictures in the web of you in your inflated suit! :(
I love the idea.
It would be cool to wear one under my clothes and then have it inflate on me suddenly or something. But only in privacy, of course.
If only there was a way to get my girlfriend into one without telling her about all of this. :(
Lessee...how do I feel about inflatable suits?
The necessities of life are:
1. Air
2. Water
3. Food
4. Inflatable suits
I've gone the cheap way I guess. Bought a couple of 72 inch beachballs and 12x sweats. The sweats fail after awhile though.
Hercmech...
That way may not be sophisticated or expensive...but it definately gets the job done!
My latest suit is two 5XL cotton turtleneck sweaters (total $5) sewn together end to end, stuffed with an el cheapo king-size waterbed mattress from target ($30), which gets satisfyingly HUGE :!:
How'd you sew the two sweaters together?
For the longest while, I've just used two 50 gallon trash bags wrapped around my legs (up/down, the opening scrunched up at my hips), under a particularly satisfyingly stretchy pair of pants that I've come across. It'll get quite huge, almost bigger than the picture LegPump.jpg, methinks. Works well, but just for the legs...
I was wondering the same thing myself. What the best way to sew the two halves together is?
Or what about this question? Is the a preferred manufacturer out there who makes large or oversized lycra or spandex full body suits?
Hey y'all...
I took a picture of my suit for ya....but I have no way to post it without uploading it to the image gallery, which I don't think is proper. Anyway, it's sewn together at the waist-band, using a zig-zag stitch, to allow the seam to stretch without pulling the thread apart. It's seen three years of HARD use  , and all I've had to do is repair some popped stitches in the seam. Entry is through the neck, which is beginning to get pretty stretched out of shape. The neck on the bottom is sewn close.
I figure I'll get about five years out of it, before it begins to disintigrate.
BH
Hmm, Cheap here as well, A large t-shirt I got for my b-day a long time ago, and loads of latex rubber gloves (xl, these are due to my works, I do modle painting and got fed up of getting paint all over my hads so I bought a box). I just blew them up to about, hlaf there capacity, and filed up the shirt with like 15 of them, lying down on them is so comfey, and squishy ^^
Though the Idea of inflation art, after seeing Tin here's work, I have a love for the suit inflations haha.
I'm in the middle of Scuba Diving training (I've never heard heard the words 'inflation', 'inflate', 'buoyancy', etc etc outside of this community until now), and being shown all the different types of suits, including for women, is a major distraction.
What I never knew until now was that aside from the usual neoprene suits and drysuits, there are also Lycra suits for diving in very warm water. Also, any style of suit can be custom-made for (so I'm told) relatively little extra cost.
I will find out more about this as we near the end of this course in another two or three weeks, but it's quite possible that these manufacturers would happily make a Lycra suit to order that would do nicely.
I'll report back when I know more. In the meantime I try not to stare to much at our female instructor in her black one-piece suit and her slight 'Shetland Girl' belly (heads up, BH).
I do really love inflatable suits, but I never used it. I am from Brazil and I have no idea of how to get it.
But me and my girlfriend always play with balloon stuffing. I lovve to see her full of balloons. I have already used pillos too, but it didnt work for me. Condoms work good.
I don't like the condoms so much. It's like inflating in a raincoat... ;)
Inflatable suits... for the win!
I actually like Drysuits and Catsuits for the best results. Although I'm also a fan of making normal clothing that's inflatable too. Or using inflatable stuff as clothing.
Like modifying some Beachballs into a wearible swimsuit. Stuff like that.
Didn't someone have a link for a company that makes really large lycra/spandex bodysuits?
well i have tryed just getting a rubber dingy under some stretchy clothes but after a while itseemed to be to small so i then started to use an air bed instead, i get pretty huge but most of the time you can see the air bed which does spoil the illusion, but hey it's still good. inflatable suits get the thumbs up from me
I too can't afford the "real" inflatables but with the help of one-piece snowsuit and a 4 foot in diameter beach ball I can inflate. Of course I get total restriction with snowsuit but it blows up quite large also and very restricting. Other subs I have used is those plastic one-piece disposable coveralls (white) that you can pick up cheap safety supply stores and I go for pop as I get huge round with the beach ball inside. There are many ways to come up with your own inflatable out there with just a little imagination.
I should know I also pen stories on inflatable clothing mainly rubbersuits. Which one is here but I will posting on Gromet's Plaza.
ouch that's a REALLY old one. Guys, ladies, do you mind a question about suits?
I got it how you FEEL about inflatable suits - thanks everyone on opinions. Yet there's one thing I'm EXTREMELY curious about:
How do you MOVE in inflatable suits?
For example, the suit is fully inflated. What you can do?
Is walking ruled out? Is jumping?
Can you take a cup of tea from one table and put it on another one?
Can you roll around?
Bounce?
What else can you do?
Also, same questions about half-inflated suit. What can you do?
Would be very grateful!
im very curious about this too, especially bouncing in it, or in the very least lying down in it. I would assume no to the bouncing, but hey, it doesnt hurt to ask right?
Natch, it's slowing down here already. Trying to pick things up a bit by asking a simple question; How do you feel about inflatable suits? Latex, drysuits, rubber etc.
I ask this because I wasn't too sure if people came here specificly for body inflation (as the title of the website implies).
