Just curious if anybody else is into muscle inflation.
Filled with Power
This is more expansion than inflation as I understand it.
So I'm great with it!
Personally I am more into softness than anything else, but I have always been a fan of stronger women. I swoon whenever a feminine person can best me physically. That being said, I am not the biggest (ha, pun) fan of hulking body builder frames. I much more prefer just notable muscles or stout girls with inherent strength hidden behind softness.
So... I guess I disagree with hfilled, but not in a malicious way. I just love strong females and the softness that can add to that. Besides, you'd have to be crazy strong to handle the belly and bust sizes I envision.
Yes. Yes I am.
Gonna have to say that muscle inflation/muscle growth are slightly different. Inflation would be more of a loss of power in a "good bluff" way. Big, yet helpless due to that very size. Growth, that's more the 'amazon' approach, I should think.
One can imagine what direction I lean in.
Funny you should mention this. I was going over some of my old stories, and I'd forgotten that I'd put a bit of muscle inflation in NFP. It's fun to play with, mainly for the paradox.
Sievert makes a good point about the distinction between muscle inflation and muscle growth. With growth, the person gets stronger. With inflation, the person just appears to be more muscular, but hasn't actually gained any strength. The increased size is just air so not only have they not gained any strength, they've become weaker because the added bulk constrains mobility.
Someone experiencing muscle inflation appears to grow more powerful while becoming less so. In the end they can be huge and imposing while actually being helpless.
I have a muscle inflation scene planned for Expanding Horizons, should I ever get off my ass and actually write it.
If you're interested, Funky O'Brian wrote a story: http://www.bodyinflation.org/node/282 which contains both the "powerful muscles" and "weak, stiff muscles" variants described above.
Nope. If it's muscle, then (to me, at least) it ain't inflation. Muscle is about power and control; inflation is about being helpless and vulernability, even perhaps at being at another's mercy. I know there will be those that wil disagree with me, saying that anything can be used for inflation purposes, but I feel I must stand my ground.
