It is a bit of a let-down; but for people without an inflation fetish, seeing a hot woman all fat and bloated isn't their idea of a good time. It was probably just an excuse to draw two muscular, spandex-clad women kissing and maintain the violent combat element. *shrug*
Definitely interesting, however, the kiss of death has been around since MKII
