Why is it so hard to find RP partners? It may be because every girl on this site is BOMBARDED with RP requests from every dude on this site. Whatever it is, it seems to be ruining my attempts at meeting RP partners...it sucks

Not discounting that,
But also consider, your RP style may not mesh well with that of your intended victim...I mean partner. I've had SO many crappy RP partners that I'm pretty much on a strict diet of people I already know.

I've roleplayed a few times and none of them have been all that satisfying. It actually is really hard to find a good RP partner, because it's hard to find someone that will put in the same amount of effort that I do. It's annoying to type several sentences worth of stuff and get a few words back, or to roleplay with someone who can't keep track of the plot we've developed, or has no feel for where to take things...
...but then again, I also realize that my standards are pretty high. As a writer, I care very much about story continuity, characters' motivations, a certain amount of realism, and functional grammar/spelling. The list of people who care about the same things as much as getting off in a roleplay is probably pretty short. I wouldn't mind RPing with someone who is like-minded, but I've just about decided that RPing simply isn't for me.

ive had some pretty good RPs, but some of them I've had were hair-pullingly bad. I love to find new partners to RP with when available, but it's worth taking the risk.
