Inflation Video Quality Suggestions

After a long hiatus, I decided to come back and try to shoot Youtube videos on a bi-monthly basis (twice a month) to get back into a regular routine. I wanted to try and see if I could improve upon what I currently do, so just tonight I posted up a new video:

I still can't show my face as of yet, though I did buy a latex mask awhile back before I moved. Just need to find it. Also I'm currently trying to remedy the poor lighting situation in my new building, but until I get a little more spending money, I may have to rely on After Effects to remedy it.

You just need to calm down and get the content flowing. You're trying too hard. Everyone who's looking for inflation videos will find yours eventually. If your content is good they'll stick around. I understand that you wanna interact with your audience. But you have to develop an audience first. So just take your time. And when you have a nice plump fanbase punch em right in the wallet! I mean. You gotta earn a living!

Hehe yeah. The thing is I've had a Youtube channel for a few years now, and I did have a bit of a fanbase. But things happened and I dropped out for awhile. I really want to win them over again.

And yeah, the wallet gets to me. I don't get a lot of opportunities to work being a student sadly ^^;

I know what to mean. I've heard of you but I'm not really into that kinda stuff… But if some day I'm rich and bored. I'd love to inflate with you! I'm sure all the boys would love that!

Haha sounds like a plan! Just make sure you can afford the ticket to Canada :P

Dropping my 2cents in :)

I just watched your most recent video offering. I loved it. struggling with clothes, moaning, hearing the beachball's sounds, even the little accidents such as the pump rolling down needing to be caught. Well done Tayva for making such a fun video. Thank you for sharing :)

Need to work on the lighting. Some of your videos are too dark.

You can easily fix this by learning more about video editing: Brighten up the image / adding color effects / gains etc.

Or even better: Light up the room better with another lamp

Hi my name is Tom. I run the inflatable chicks yahoo group

Thank you Yrrall!

As mentioend in my first post slayer, I am currently hunting down some lighting I can afford. It would make things a lot easier if there were an Ikea near me to pick up something affordable. I'm hoping that I can get enough of a break this week though to go check some of the hardware stores for something with flexible heads :)

Believe it or not. Desk lamps work great and range from 15 to 40 dollars here in the US. I can't imagine they'd be any more expensive in Canada… The only problem with desk lamps is they get hot really fast. And speaking of hot lamps… Heat lamps also work amazingly! They're really cheap and designed to be hot so you don't have to worry about them over heating! You'd have to instead worry about you overheating. =P

I can give the desk lamp a try since I have one, but its a clamping base (and with nowhere in the room to actually clamp it, its kind of difficult using it). And sadly unless its used, nothing for me is cheap (I'm trying to save up for a decent working air compressor, since the last one didnt do anything)

The actual heat lamp is like 3 dollars… Max. It's the bulbs that cost money. But I would save up for that compressor. It's a way more worth while investment… And clamp the lamp to the camera/tripod. Or tie I'd with a ribbon! =P

That's another investment I need to make at some point: a tripod. I've been hoping to find one used, but its coming to the point where I'm thinking of replacing the entire video camera itself. The problem with the compressor is that its more of a two person job (as someone needs to monitor it to be able to shut it off in time, or else... well... I'd rather not think about it ;) )

Oh yeah… Good point… If I lived any where near Canada I'd love to help. But sadly I am not… And tripods are hella expensive! Even used! But you don't really need one if your alone… Tripods are only a great investment if you have someone behind it. Otherwise you might as well just be stacking phone books on a chair for your camera…

I dont even mind getting a cheaper one, just something to help with angles. The problem with just setting it places is that its difficult, if not impossible to get the camera set up on any sort of verticle angle, without the risk of it falling over. I've seen some cheaper looking mini rubber ones, and I was curious of what they might cost (if it would be worth the investment, upon other things)

A rubber one? That's interesting… That sounds like just what you need! I understand what you mean about angles but it's never impossible! And may I ask what exactly you film yourself doing?

I have a YouTube channel where I do suit inflations. I'm trying to release stuff every other week:

I can't use YouTube. But do you just blow yourself up? Or you doing all kinds of stuff?

It's mostly just me blowing up with my homemade suit. I have still images on my deviantArt page too that you could check out.

Neato! (If you couldn't tell I really like talking to you…) I wonder if I should start doing this too… If I could make a living out of this I'd do it forever! =P

Yeah, though I barely made much when I did it. I think adsense ever gave me $100 per eight months, but I had a hard time producing regular content.

AshyPie

Aww… That sucks… I don't think I would have problems uploading content but because the community is so small ad revenue probably isn't great… That's a shame… Regardless I think I'm going to upload some content when I have equipment that isn't so ghetto.
