pressure as a relaxant

pressure as a relaxant

I have an odd question/topic and I wanted to elicit others' opinions...

When inflating items under clothing, does the pressure create a sense of relaxation or release of tension? I ask this based on some non-related practices that allegedly create similar results in animals and in some cases hyper-sensitive people or people with heightened anxiety (I will not state that all practices are conclusively proven, just that they occur and are touted by some).

As far as animals go...one site claims gentle, constant pressure has a dramatic calming effect for most dogs and cats if they are anxious, fearful or overexcited. There are similar applications applied to people. So you can see, when one is inflating something under their clothes to the point of firmness, a like effect (sexual stimulation aside) might be achieved...or so I am thinking.

Please weigh in with opinions and observations (yes, by this I am potentially branding inflation as an off market treatment for anxiety...go figure)...

I've done inflation under my clothes in the past, but not for some time now, so I'm not terribly familiar with it. However, your hypothesis makes sense. Afterall, many people claim the benefits of activating "pressure points", so why not this? I'd like to hear from someone experienced in this area as well.

Just a little more. You can take it...I hope...

Actually, I've looked into this as well, and it turns out that things such as double layered latex suits have been tested on children with autism. The theory is that the (generally light) pressure all around them simulates a feeling of security and protection. Another thing I've thought is the feeling of pressure is natural as a fetus when inside the womb, so it could be a subconscious thing as well.

I've always found that pressure from those things actually is relaxing, and I am hoping that an inflatable suit will do that also for me as well.

(Not on here too often, replies might be slow.)
