Air pump PSI

I heard the other day that it on takes a pressure of 15 psi to cause death to somebody as it is enough pressure for air to enter the blood.

I have an electric air bed pump. Would that be safe to use?

15 psi is just 0,3 psi above the normal pressure of the air that surrounds you. It is safe enough.

However, if you puncture some blood vessel and pump in there - that could be lethal.

I would say absolutely not. The rectal and intestinal cavity can hold around 4 litres of air I believe, and something like that outputs that much air in less than a second. What you'd want to get is either a bike pump, or much better an electric aquarium pump. The latter will deliver air at a rate of around 0.5-2 litres of air a minute so that will give the body plenty of time to adjust until you reach your maximum limit. Never use a tool that can inflate you faster than that.

ah yes, volume.

Forgot about that ^_^ Oops, sorry!

Are you still there?
