I mean that whenever people draw these things involving food or processed food, they usually have a weight gain aspect to it, which is a big turn off to me. I picture some sort of synthetic liquid that's really thick and stuffing like processed food but doesn't make the character fat afterwards. Just round or gets a giant round belly.

Something explosive/flammable, like hydrogen, oxyacetylene gas or even something that turns my very chubby inflatee's fat explosively unstable.
as i imagine it - inflatee is mostly full of herself. A bit of air (for ground competitions) or helium (for flying) only gives her initial stuffing to start inflation.
