My Word on Sizecon

It was perhaps the best thing I'll ever do this year.

I must admit that going into Sizecon that I wasn't expecting very much. I figured it'd be only fifty something people, with little going on, and little to do. I was happy to have been proven wrong. While the set up of the event was rather clustered(given the small venue), it gave me the chance to meet with people one on one, con-goers and artists alike. I got to meet Mabo(MilkyBody) and BustArtist in the flesh, as well as one of the behind the scenes guys over at ExpansionFan comics. Toward the end of the day I even got to meet and greet with the producer of Maxgrowth, as well as their prop technician, the prop creator, and two of their wonderful actresses. They were such generous people, inviting me to sit and talk and show off their props, doing so without knowing I had a VIP ticket with them.

Yet what really stood out for me was how level and down to earth everyone was. For the first couple hours I kept talking to people who were from the Macro/Micro community, and they were just as open about their likes as I was. A few folks were a bit shy at first, but once they got a feel for the environment, they were buzzing around the room with stars in their eyes. After that I began to run into people from our community, and it was such a wonderful thing to finally voice my feelings and opinions about our fetish to another in person. I mentioned this to each person I spoke to, and they shared the exact same sentiment.

Panels that I went to were highly interactive, and sometimes just broke down into audience members sharing stories about their experiences with their respective fetish, with the panelists sharing their own right back. I went to both macro/micro centered panels, the panel on size in relationships, as well as expansion. In an older thread, I recall someone saying that the macro/micro community "isn't us." After the con, I have to disagree. They are us, just a specific branch of what we do. Growth and size change go hand in hand with us, with increasing size comes more to love, more to embrace, more to enjoy. Our perceptions of our respective kinks may be different, but at the core we share so many similarities.

I don't want to keep rambling on, but if there is any point I want to get across it's this: Sizecon was a huge step for all the communities it represented, as well as a huge success. The event sold out, and rightfully so. Between the people, the panels, and the atmosphere...I had an excellent time, more than what words can explain. There is no doubt in my mind that I will be attending next year, and definitely suggest anyone and everyone in this community to try and attend as well.

Count me surprised. I'm glad this community can get some representation and positive interaction between creators and fans. I hope that, through the years however, something doesn't generate extreme drama...

I'm very glad to hear that it turned out well. I'll do my best to make priorities to reach the second one. Big shame I couldn't make the first but alas, financial responsibility is more important. I'm hoping we can get more reviews of the place on here and lots of video and pictures as well.

Congrats WinglyKing, glad you had a great time!

I'm not sure if I'm going to get to go to size in the following years since I still dont have a drivers license or a job that pays me enough to pay for the travelling costs and food. But I'm happy that it turned out well this year. It's its even better that it will be back next year since it turned out so well

Sounds like a good time. Were there any people there from bodyinflation.org as well? Who all here went??

WinglyKing, thank you for your elegant and accurate depiction of the Con. I have to agree, this was one of the most amazing things I've ever been a part of. When I travelled to NYC last year for the Macro/Micro meet-up and talked with 5 other people on a rock in Central Park I never dreamed that in less than 7 months they could generate something this special. And after all the ridiculous and much over-hyped negativity, the event was fantastic. I can't say anything more eloquent than WinglyKing, so I'll stop here.

WinglyKing, you are a cool dude:) Please note me on DA or here and we can follow up our discussion from the Con:)

I'm sad I didn't go. It wasn't far from me, just a train ride to the city. I was shy about going. Hopefully they will hold another one in the future as I'd like to try to brave being out with people and talk about art and stuff.

I was a bit nervous walking into a furry convention to attend an inflatables panel (as I'm not a furry), but being in that room was probably one of the best things I've done in a decade. I've never felt so in place and had such a perfect time. You just have to go in professionally and casually joke about something and you'll get conversations started in no time! Just remember that everyone is there for the same interest as you, and nobody in these things is judgemental in the slightest.
