I had gotten a job working in the archives of Goodyear. Not too many people know this but Goodyear is all the time trying to come up with new ways of using rubber. I, unfortunately, ended up on the graveyard shift, which meant I ended up spending a lot time in stacks and stacks of reports, and what not from old experiments.

Here's something interesting I've noticed lately:

Most folks who find themselves blowing up like a helium balloon don't quite appreciate the humor in it.  Oddly enough, though, some seem to like it.  And of those, a small subset seem to really like it. 

Whatever.  I think it's a hoot. 

Sarah was lucky to have such good friends.

During her stay in the hospital, her neighbor Frank had collected her mail for her. Her friend Kate drove halfway across town every day to feed Plum, her cat. Everything in her apartment was much as she remembered it. Some of the food in her fridge had gone bad. She'd have to take care of that.
