Horace's Curse, Part 2: The Curse

Derek whistled softly to himself as he schemed away. Earlier that morning, he'd gone to Kevin's house to get Linda deflated back to normal. Well, almost normal. In the end she'd chosen to keep a few of her added inches. But she was rather ticked off that Derek hadn't just told her how to deflate. It was as simple as squeezing the ring and twisting it a certain direction. It had taken almost half an hour (Derek was quite surprised at how big she'd been blown up), but she was down to a more realistic size. Most of her clothes would still fit acceptably enough now, but she had mentioned something about shopping for new bras. In the meantime, Derek had read a large portion of Horace's lab notes and journals. He'd let Kevin and Linda hold on to the ring and the whistle. Once he'd waded through a portion and understood what Desmond Horace had been doing, he realized he wouldn't be needing them.

"Damn, this guy was a genius," Derek thought as he gazed on the ruby ring which sat sparkling in its case. It was simple, yet elegant; quite beautiful, but not so large that a woman couldn't wear it all the time, as was intended. Apparently most of the magic devices had been made in pairs. The silver whistle matched up with the silver ring, with most of the control being in the whistle. It was purely by luck that they'd discovered the right combination. But this ring in particular had been mentioned several times in Horace's writings. The ruby was Juliette Horace's favorite gemstone, and he'd made it as an anniversary present. From the way he'd written about it, it had a very special meaning to him as well. Derek assumed it was because it was one of the last pieces that Horace enchanted, and all of the later pieces had been made without partners. The effect and the control came from the ring, so they wouldn't have any accidental inflation, like what happened with Linda.

"But that could be fun, too," Derek thought. No, there would be no mishaps this time; unlike most of the collection, this piece actually had instructions on its use in Horace's notes. But what he'd read about this ring implied that it was special, and very powerful. Perfect for Valerie. He put the ring in his pocket.

He could hardly keep his mind focused on class that day. Thank God it's Friday. At lunch he was deliberately mysterious when he told her he had something special to give her, and she wouldn't believe what it was. After school they drove up to a secluded spot in the hills. It was a popular makeout spot at night, but nobody was likely to be there in the afternoon. They sat down together in the shade. Derek had been careful to choose a spot where they wouldn't be easily seen if anyone happened to wander by.

"So what is it you've been dying to show me all day?" she asked him. She tossed back her long blonde hair and flashed him that smile she knew drove him crazy.

He took the ring out of his pocket. "Do you believe in magic?"

"No," she shrugged.

Derek grinned. He knew this, of course, or he wouldn't have asked Kevin to get Linda to try the first experiment. "Well today I'll make a believer out of you."

She laughed softly. "I really doubt it, but you can try."

He leaned in closer. "What would you say if I told you this ring had the power to make you...voluptuous?"

"Ha! That would take a minor miracle!" She looked down at her slim frame. It wasn't that she lacked feminine curves, it was just that Valerie had always been quite thin. Her body was slender and athletic, and while she liked how she looked she realized that some men, Derek included, preferred a more provocative shape. "You're saying that ring can change how I look?"

"That's exactly what I'm saying."

Valerie shook her head. "Now way!"

"Wanna bet?" Derek immediately regretted saying it.

"You're on! If this 'magic ring' of yours doesn't work, then you have to take me out to dinner at The Vista!"

Ouch. The Vista was very fancy, very upscale, and very expensive. It wasn't until that moment that Derek entertained the thought that the ring might not work as Horace had written, since he'd never actually tested it. The money he'd made selling some of the other jewelry could cover the cost of dinner. Probably. Well I'm already in this, I might as well make the most of it.

"Ok, but if it does work, then I get to make you look however I want."

"Done! So I guess there's just one question left," she smirked.

"What's that?"

"Do we get a table inside the restaurant, or on the balcony." She extended her hand.

Derek took a breath and slipped the ring onto her finger. "Actually, I think there's an even better question."

"And what's that?"

He said a little prayer in his head as he pressed down on the ruby and twisted the ring to the right. He was rewarded by a soft hissing sound and an utterly astonished expression on Valerie's face. "Do you want a figure like Dolly Parton, or should I make you really big?"

Valerie gasped as she felt a soft pressure building in her bosom. Derek looked her over; she was wearing a long, loose skirt that wouldn't present any problems, but her blouse would become far to confining in a little while. "I guess I should have told you wear loose clothes today."

"What's happening?" Her breasts swelled up into two small mounds, then bulged out, straining against her bra. She began to rise up slowly as her buttocks filled with gas as well. "I'm -- I'm blowing up!"

"Yes. Yes you are," Derek replied, flatly.

Although her skirt hid it for the most part, Valerie could feel her legs plumping up, her hips pushing outward. Her bra slid up over her breasts, which surged out to the size of twin volleyballs. "But -- how?"

"I told you, it's magic." Derek looked on, delighted.

"How do you stop this?" The buttons on her blouse were being pulled apart as her soft white flesh bulged out of the spaces between them.

Derek shook his head. "Remember our bet? If it works, I get to change you however I want. And this - -" he gestured at her inflating form, "looks like it's working."

The middle button on her blouse popped open, exposing part of expanding bosom. She reached around to start undoing the others. "Just how big do you want me get?"

Derek grinned. "Bigger."

Valerie finished unbuttoning, and her huge orbs spilling out into the open air, jiggling gently. Her delicate pink areolas had stretched out to several inches across. Her nipples, greatly swollen by the pressure within, thrust forward perkily, and as loose as her skirt was, her inflating butt was starting to make it feel rather snug. "My God, Derek! I knew you liked big curves, but isn't this enough?" The hissing was barely audible, but to Valerie it sounded like a hurricane. She was starting to look quite concerned, so Derek relented.

"Ok, I guess this'll do." He took her hand and twisted the ring. "So do you believe in magic now?"

She gently squeezed her breasts. It was hard to believe that such an enormous bosom could be her own, but the feeling of her fingers pressing against her distended flesh confirmed it. Holy shit, I really have blown up. "It looks like I don't have a choice. How on earth is this possible?"

He explained about Desmond Horace, his fascination with altering the female form, and the ring. "Like I said, it's magic."

"So I can get bigger just by twisting the ring?"

"Yup," Derek nodded.

"And do I get smaller if I twist it the other way?" she asked hopefully.

Derek kissed her on the cheek. "You're such a smart girl. Just be careful and don't let anyone else mess with the ring. It's powerful magic, so I tend to show it a lot of respect."

She cupped her hands under her breasts. "Oh, I respect it alright." She reached for the ring and was about to turn it when Derek interrupted her.

"You're not in that big a hurry to get back to normal, are you?" He slipped a gentle arm around her.

Valerie smiled. "I guess not."

As it turned out, Valerie stayed inflated for quite a while longer that day...

The next few weeks were a dream come true for Derek. Once Valerie became accustomed to the idea of magic, they had quite a bit of fun with various types of inflation. But it all came to an end abruptly one Saturday night.

Derek picked up the phone. "Hello?"

"Hey Derek, it's Kevin."

"What's up?"

"Well, you know that spot up on Jackson Hill, the one that nobody knows about, real secluded, incredible view --"

"Yeah, the one that you and Linda go to to make out a lot. Never been there, but I've heard of it."

"Well, uh," Kevin stammered, "it looks like somebody else knows about it."

"Wouldn't surprise me. Just a matter of time before some other horny couple runs across it. I've been thinking about taking Valerie up there sometime."

"Um, I'm not sure how to say this Derek..."

Derek sat upright in his chair. "What's going on, Kev?"

"Me and Linda were coming down from there, and we saw Valerie heading up with another guy," he blurted out.

Derek felt a chill creep up his spine. "No, you musta made a mistake, it had to have been someone else."

"No, it's definitely her. Derek, I'm really sorry --"

"No!" he shouted. "You've gotta be wrong! And if you're wrong, there's no reason for me to worry, and if you're right, well -- then I can handle this later!" He was about to slam the phone down when a second chill crept into his thoughts, memories of a passage in Desmond Horace's journal. "Kevin? Are you still there?"

"Yeah?"

"Get over here, fast! You've got to take me up to that spot on Jackson Hill!"

"Derek, I think that'd be a really bad idea --"

"You don't understand, this could be pretty serious..."

It had all started as an innocent little romp, some harmless fun. Valerie had pumped herself up a bit (okay, maybe it was more than a bit) and went shopping to see what kind of attention she'd draw. And her pneumatic hourglass figure certainly attracted a lot of attention. Then she ran into Andrew. Blonde, tan, gorgeous, and several years her senior, she was immediately drawn to him. He also a had thing for voluptuous women, and no problems with dating a woman who was already involved. And after about a week of seeing him on the sly, she divulged how she'd acquired her endowments. But he was still quite skeptical.

"You can really make yourself bigger?" he'd asked, eyebrow raised.

Valerie had just nodded and sipped her drink.

"Show me."

"Not here, Andy!" she giggled, glancing around the restaurant. "We'd have to go someplace more private."

"I know just the place."

So that night they took his car up Jackson Hill, turning onto a secluded dirt road that took them to small clearing that was surrounded by densely packed trees on all sides. The path that led into the clearing was almost completely concealed by brush, and Valerie would have missed it entirely if she hadn't been following Andrew.

"So," he said, taking her by the hand, "show me this little secret of yours."

Valerie turned to him. "You're holding it."

"What?" he said, dropping her hand.

"No, not my hand, silly! It's the ring. It's magic."

Andrew laughed out loud. "Y'know, you don't have to make up some wild story to get me to take somewhere secluded."

"You don't believe me?"

Andrew shook his head. "I don't believe in magic. It belongs in fairy tales, and that's pretty much where it stays."

A sly grin came over Valerie's face. "How about a little wager? How much are you willing to bet that this ring isn't magic?"

Andrew laughed and shook his head, still not believing. Ok, if she wants to play this game, I can play along. "How about dinner at The Vista?" Valerie had mentioned several times that she'd wanted to dine there.

Valerie's face lit up. "Wonderful!"

"Hold on there. What if it isn't magic?"

Valerie licked her lips, sliding her hand down along the curve of her hip. "Then I guess I'll have to make it up to you with what I have. But I'm not too worried about that." She looked herself over, trying to judge how much room she had in her clothing. Her blue stretch pants would have quite a bit of give to them, but her blouse might present a bit of problem. Oh, no matter, Valerie thought. She'd bought these clothes to wear while 'enhanced', so they were a bit oversized to begin with. She brought her hands together and gently twisted the ring.

Andrew's jaw dropped as he saw Valerie's already generous figure start to fill out even more. With a soft hissing noise, her legs and hips puffed up a bit, but Andy's attention was focused on Valerie's bosom. Her bountiful breasts swelled even more, pulling her blouse tight across her chest. He caught tantilizing glimpses of pink lace and ivory cleavage peeking out between the buttons. But just as it look as though the garment might pop open, Valerie twisted the ring again, stopping the show.

"Are you convinced?" she purred, her finger absently tracing circles on the side of one of her enormous boobs.

"I, uh, I'm convinced!"

"Then we're going to the Vista?"

"I'll make the reservations tomorrow." Andrew was only distantly aware of what he was saying, almost memerized by the incredible sight he'd just witnessed. "Is that as big as you can get?"

Valerie rolled her eyes. "Men! Big is never big enough!" Then she smiled invitingly and offered her hand. "Go ahead and try it, just twist the ring." A tingle spread through her hand as Andrew slowly twisted. He jumped as Valerie's copious endowments began to shrink away. "No, no, no! Twist it the other way!" He obeyed, and Valerie began to grow again. Bigger and bigger she swelled, her hips widening as her butt grew out behind her. Her pants clung skin tight to her massive curves, while her blouse teetered on the brink of splitting open, straining to contain its expanding load. Finally, one of her buttons gave out, shooting off with a loud snap and bouncing off of Andrew's chest.

"Ow! Those things are dangerous!" But he couldn't suppress a soft laugh.

"Then maybe this is big enough," Valerie said. Andy looked a bit disappointed as she stopped the growth once again. "For safety. It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye, right?" She smiled. Her bust had started to spill out of the gap left by the deceased button, revealing a swath of the lacy pink that made up her voluminous brassiere. Andy had wondered where she'd found one that size to begin with, and now her inflated breasts were practically bursting out of it, threatening to tear it to shreds. And her waist was looked provocatively slim set atop her enormously fleshed out hips and thighs.

"I guess we'll have to find another way to get those buttons undone then," he murmured as he took her into his arms. Her body pressed marvelously against his, her plush curves molding to him as he leaned in and touched his lips to hers. He felt Valerie press tighter and tighter to him.

"Mmmmff! Stop!" Valerie abruptly pushed him away.

"What's wrong?"

"Look!"

Andy now noticed what Valerie had most likely realized immediately. Although he had to strain to hear the hissing, it was obvious that Valerie was swelling up more. The stitches in her pants began to rip, and Andy jumped aside just in time to dodge a runaway button. Even more of her burgeoning flesh was exposed, her breasts steadily expanding. Then, as suddenly as it started, the surge of growth ended.

"What was that?" she gasped. Her voluptuous body had plumped out to almost comical proportions.

"You tell me, you're the one with the magic ring," Andy grinned. He put his arms around her again, although it was a bit more difficult to reach now. "I'm sure it's nothing to worry about."

Valerie paused. She didn't hear or feel anything happening. "You're probably right." She gazed deeply into his eyes. "Now where were we?"

But as soon as their lips touched, Valerie felt a sharp tingling on her ring finger. She pushed Andrew away again, but already felt a wave of pressure building inside her.

"What, again? What's wrong?" Andy asked, annoyed.

Valerie didn't bother to answer. And a moment later, as her already ludicrously full hourglass figure became even more pronounced, an answer became unnecessary. Her bra finally gave out with a massive pwoof!, taking half of the remaining buttons on her blouse with it. It hung limp and useless at her sides as her enormous boobs swelled outward. The stitches in her pants could take no more of the punishment inflicted by her ballooning buttocks, dying out one at a time with high-pitched snaps. By the time this surge passed, Valerie was quite literally half out of her clothes. "What's happening to me?"

"You're getting bigger," Andy marveled, intently staring at her full, well-padded hips and deliciously overfilled bosom. "It happened both times I kissed you."

Valerie tried twisting the ring to shrink herself back down. Nothing happened, twisting in either direction. She tried pulling it off, but somehow it stayed firmly fixed to her finger. The only person who knew anything about the ring was Derek, and she'd have a hell of a time explaining this to him. No, it wouldn't be that hard. I was playing with the ring, planning something special for you dear, and somehow I got a little carried away, and now I'm stuck this big. Sure, I can talk my way out of this one. "I think we should go now."

"Come on, Valerie." He approached, placing a hand on her left breast. It was surprisingly firm, much more so than he would expect, considering how massive it was. He gently stroked the taut skin. "We're just getting started here. I think it's kinda neat having my own living blow-up doll to play with." Though he had to maneuver around her enormous bust a bit, he tried to lean in for another kiss.

"I don't think that's a good idea, Andy."

"You know what they say, third time's the charm."

"They also say three strikes and you're out...Andy!"

He kissed her.

"I think that was a stop sign." Kevin was unable to keep the tremor out of his voice. Why on earth did I let him drive?

"The red ones are optional, didn't you know?" Derek was driving like a maniac, and Kevin still wasn't completely sure why.

"What's going on? Do you think catching her in the act is going to make you feel any better?"

"This isn't about me, dammit! It's about the ring."

Kevin raised an eyebrow. "What about it?"

"This one is different from most of them. The one Linda has is controlled by the whistle. Desmond Horace was a bit ticked because his wife Juliette would only let him blow her up so big. But Horace wore the whistle around his neck because he was worried his wife might use it on her own while he was away -- for another man."

"He didn't trust her?"

"He thought she had started being unfaithful to him shortly after he'd inflated her figure. He sounded pretty paranoid in his journal, and after a while even he thought he was being irrational. So to show that he really did trust her, he gave her a new ring that she could control."

"The same one you gave to Valerie?"

"The same. But he discovered that Juliette actually was seeing another man behind his back. And once she was able to control her shape on her own, she apparently didn't mind busting a few corsets for him, if you get my drift. Which way do we take from here?"

"Turn right, onto the dirt road. So Juliette betrayed Desmond, and now Valerie betrays you. That still doesn't explain why you're trying to turn us into road kill."

"Horace flew into a rage when he found out. He cursed the ring so that if the wearer were ever unfaithful it would -- malfunction."

"Malfunction? What sort of malfunction?"

"I don't know. It might just stop working and turn Valerie back to her normal self. Or --"

"Or?"

"Or I'd better hurry, or Valerie might have some big problems on her hands. Among other things."

Andy reached around Valerie as best he could, holding her to him as she started to balloon out again, tearing the remains of her clothes apart. It became more and more of a struggle has her enormous breasts began to push him away. Valerie tried break away, but was shocked when her arms started to puff up along with the rest of her. In just a few moments she was almost completely immobile, unable to put up a struggle. Andy stepped back to admire his handiwork as the inflation slowly tapered off and finally stopped.

"Wow." Valerie stood before him, her legs stiffly swollen from her ankles all the way up to her hugely inflated hips and butt. Her waist had remained almost entirely unaffected, making her midsection look cinched compared to the rest of her billowing form. Sausage-like arms stuck almost straight out from puffed up shoulders, and her breasts -- Andy was speechless. They were simply enormous. Valerie's massive orbs stretched out farther than even the width of her hips, and they bulged up enough that they were beginning to obscure her face. Her soft pink nipples had been pumped up to several times their normal size, yet they still looked tiny on the vast expanse of her bosom.

Valerie, however, was not so impressed. "Oh my God, look at what you've done to me!"

"I'm looking," Andy gasped. "I guess there's a whole lotta magic in that ring."

"What am I gonna do? How the hell am I gonna get back to normal?"

Andy gently patted her firm, full butt. "Now why would we want to do that? I think I like having a super-curvy girlfriend."

Valerie was fuming. "Andy, help me, now!" she hissed through clenched teeth. "I can't stay all blown up like this!"

Andy sighed. "I guess you're right, I can't just let you stay like this."

"Good. Now let's see if we can figure out how to --"

"I think we should see just how big you can get," he said, an evil grin spreading across his face.

Valerie went pale. She tried to waddle away from him, but only managed scoot a few inches at a time. It wasn't any trouble at all for Andy to walk around behind her and push her forward. Valerie slowly teetered forward, drifting down until she bounced lightly on her own cushions. Andy went around in front of her. "I think I've got this figured out. Every time I kiss you, you get bigger. So..."

"Andy, don't you dare --"

She felt the tingling on her finger and the surge of pressure building even before their lips touched. It felt different this time. Valerie's midsection finally fell victim to the ring's magic, her flat belly starting to bulge out. She could feel the air rushing about her stomach like a whirlwind, distending her body more and more. Her breasts had gotten so big, they were half lifting both herself and Andy off of the ground. Fortunately, he decided that Valerie had had enough after only a few seconds of this.

Unfortunately, the ring had other plans.

Suddenly, Andy began thrashing about, struggling and trying to push away. But somehow their mouths were stuck together, and he was unable to break free. Then Valerie felt the pressure inside her soar, her skin pulling tighter and tighter. What the hell is going on? her mind screamed.

Then the air started rushing out of her.

And into Andy.

It happened so quickly, Valerie just saw the shock and fear in his eyes, then half a moment later heard the popping and ripping as his clothes practically exploded off of his expanding body. In seconds he swelled up full and round; it was like one of those slowed down films of a car airbag inflating. He became lighter as he grew bigger, and by the time he became unstuck from Valerie, is body was just an enormous balloon with just enough buoyancy for him to start drifting skyward. Now that they had separated, he could speak again.

"Help! Valerie, help me!" he shrieked as he floated past her. Luckily for Andy, he got caught by branches of a tree.

"Sorry, Andy, I've got my own problems down here." The rushing air inside her hadn't stopped when they'd stopped kissing, and wasn't even slowing down. The ring was still inflating her, filling her up bigger, rounder, tighter... "Andy, it's not stopping!" Her belly had surpassed her bust, her swollen body engulfing her plump limbs.

"Uh oh," Andy said, "There's someone coming."

"Maybe...whoever it is...can help...us," Valerie gasped.

"This is the place, Derek," Kevin called. "We should find 'em -- holy shit!"

Derek came up behind him. He hadn't been sure what would happen if Horace's curse were to take effect, but it was clear now that the old man didn't mess around. He could only assume that the eight-foot wide fleshtone balloon caught in the nearby tree was the man who had stolen Valerie from him. As for Valerie herself, she was already quite a bit larger, and still growing by the look of it. Her body was an enormous globe, her distended boobs forming two huge swells on its surface. Her hands and feet protruded, but were slowly disappearing as she expanded. As he walked closer, he saw her tiny blonde head turn toward him.

"Derek?"

"Hello, Valerie." He wasn't quite sure how to feel. On the one hand, he had just caught his girlfriend with another man. On the other hand, it looked like they had both paid for their transgression and then some. And on the other hand, he was just awestruck by how big she was. "Looks like you went a little overboard with the ring."

"Derek, help me, I'm still blowing up!"

"Yes, you are," he nodded, still in shock.

"Derek, please, I'm gonna pop!" Indeed, her body was making strained groaning and creaking noises as her skin started to flush to a pinkish color.

"Uh, Derek," Kevin said, "I think you'd better figure out a way to stop this or...or we'd better get the hell outta here before she blows."

Derek finally snapped out of his daze. "Don't worry, Kevin. Just help me roll her so I can see her face to face."

"Can do." Kevin went around behind her to push. He was alarmed at how taut her skin was, without an inch of give to it.

"Hurry!" Valerie wailed. The groaning sound was getting louder, and her hands had completely disappeared, overwhelmed by her burgeoning flesh. Finally, she came eye to eye with Derek. "What are you going to do?"

Derek sighed, cradling her face in his hands. "I'm going to kiss you goodbye."

"What? Derek, no!"

As their lips touched for what he knew would be the last time, he felt her cheeks puff up beneath his hands, her lips filling to incredible plumpness, then finally...

He was rewarded by a loud hissing from Valerie's body as the air slowly started to leak out of her. She heaved a sigh of relief as they parted. "Thank you, Derek."

He patted her lightly on her still plump cheek. "Goodbye, Valerie." He took the ring from her hand as soon as it came back into view. "C'mon Kevin, let's go."

"Wait!" Andy shouted from the trees. "What about me?"

Derek waved his hand in dismissal. He turned the ring in his hand slowly as he walked back to the car with Kevin.

"You alright, Derek?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. Only problem is, now I have a ring and no girl to give it to."

"Don't worry, ol' pal. I'm sure you'll find someone."

"Yeah. Hey, I wonder if Jill's seeing anyone right now."

"That girl from your chem class? A bit skinny up top for your tastes, isn't she?"

Derek opened the car door and smiled. "She is now..."
