Old CV Art

Does anyone know where I can find Critical Volume's old artwork? I really miss those pics, and I'd like to see them again. If anyone knows, please respond. Thanks!

I think the majority of it's on here. He doesn't have his own gallery yet (don't know why) so it's all in general body inflation

I have a bunch of his older stuff archived on CD somewhere. Pencil drawings and the like mostly. If you're interested.

CV has his own folder for his artwork on the yahoo group inflatality, check it t if you find what youre looking for :)

Kurg, it would be much appreciated if you could send me some of CV's old work. I'm at v3r7160@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Crit removed a lot of his older work and explained why at the time.

Thus I suspect he wouldn't be too keen on it being reposted, though emailing it to someone might (might) be OK. I miss some of those pics too. I have my own thoughts on this, but I digress.

You don't mention if you've been to his Deviantart page, which is where he has posted his continuing (and ever improving) work in recent times. If not you should definitely go there and if you feel the need, ask about the older works.

Indeed, his newer work is very good, I have been visiting his DA page since it first came up. The idea of e-mailing him had not occurred to me. But then, lots of things don't occur to me.

I'm a bit bogged down with work at the moment, but as soon as I get some free time, I'll be sure to send them to you.

It's his right to don't want his older and less experienced works online. Too bad. I think its aways interesting to keep your old works around, so people can see how you improved, and some old pics are favotires among people. Oh well...

I agree with you Dwarf. it IS good to see an artist's early work. Similarly I've been posting pics and stories on DA that I did right back when I joined the community, to see what the recation was to then; including a story I wrote not long after discovering it and I have more pics that I drew when I didn't even know of the community, but they're in my student flat right now.

You both pretty well echoed my own thoughts. I have a few faves amongst the earlier works too, having followed CV from the beginning.

When you watch early Madonna video clips, actors in their first movies etc you see how they've grown.

These people probably wince when they look back, but it's out there for good (and usually still earning them royalties), and it's only with this hindsight that we (and they) can fully appreciate how far they've come and how they got there. Most big name celebrities acknowledge and accept this. They realize that if they were to be too self-conscious they wouldn't have gotten where they are.

And it's as much the twinge of embarrassment we feel ourselves when we remember how cool we too thought it was at the time.

Regardless of that, in a community like ours it's good to see that (for the most part) the wishes of the artist are respected by the rest of us.
