Maya stepped off the bus. Ahead of her was a dirt path that led to the empty field where the test was being conducted. She was dressed like she was going to a job interview, white pantsuit with black casual pumps. She headed down the path.

Jenna was always a depressed and angry girl.  She was an only child and she had to live with her parents who worked all day, but they still treated her like a baby.  "You be good, now," her mother sang as she left the house to her eighteen-year-old, who glared at the door.

I looked up at the blue expanse above me, barren of clouds and silent. Not a single breeze floated through the meadow as I stood there, naked as the day I was born.
